Weezer announce European and UK tour dates 2017

Weezer have announced an autumn 2017 European and UK tour and share new single, ‘Feels Like Summer‘, taken from their forthcoming album, due out later this year.

Kicking off in Berlin on October 15th, the tour includes stops in Cologne, Brussels, Paris and Amsterdam before heading to the UK for five shows. The multi-million selling Los Angeles rock veterans will play dates in Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham, before finishing up with a huge arena show at London’s Wembley SSE Arena on October 28.

Tickets for the UK dates will go on general sale at 9am on March 24 here. Head here for more details on the European shows. This weekend the band play two shows at SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas.

Written by frontman Rivers Cuomo, “Feels Like Summer” is the first recording shared from Weezer’s forthcoming 11th album, which is due to arrive sometime this summer. The as-yet-unnamed new album is the followup to their Grammy-nominated self-titled album, the so-called White Album which entered the UK top 20 last year.

About the new single the band said: “We decided to skip spring entirely and go straight to summer.” In a statement they added: “We’re also bringing the sunshine across the pond to the UK & Europe this fall for some headlining dates (very special guest to be announced).”
