Brandi Carlile to release charity album ‘Cover Stories’ ft. Adele and Pearl Jam

To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Brandi Carlile’s breakthrough album The Story, legendary and up-and-coming artists are covering the album in its entirety. Cover Stories will be released on May 5th 2017 on Columbia Records and all proceeds from this new interpretation of The Story will go to War Child UK.

Dolly Parton, Adele, Pearl Jam, Kris Kristofferson, The Avett Brothers, Margo Price, and Jim James are some of the artists lending their voices to make music mean more.

Jane Weaver announces new album and run of UK shows 2017

Jane Weaver will return with a new album entitled Modern Kosmology on 19th May 2017 via Fire Records. To celebrate the release she has announced three UK dates in May in support of the album.

Weaver will play live shows at Birmingham’s Hare & Hounds (May 18), Band On The Wall in Manchester (May 19) and London’s Lexington (May 22).

NME Awards 2017: Biffy Clyro and Adele win gongs

The NME Awards ceremony took place last night (Wednesday 15th February 2017) at London’s O2 Brixton Academy, with ITB artists Biffy Clyro and Adele winning awards:

  • Best British Band: Biffy Clyro
  • Best Festival Headliner: Adele

ITB Artists win Grammy Awards 2017

Congratulations to Adele (five awards), Ryan TedderBob Dylan and Megadeth who won awards at the 59th annual Grammy Awards last night. Adele makes history as the only artist in Grammy history to sweep the Album, Record and Song of the Year twice. The winners are:

  • Record of the Year: Adele for ‘Hello
  • Album of the Year: Adele and Ryan Tedder (producer) for ’25’
  • Song of the Year: Adele for ‘Hello’
  • Best Pop Solo Performance: Adele for ‘Hello’
  • Best Pop Vocal Album: Adele for ’25’
  • Best Metal Performance: Megadeth for ‘Dystopia
  • Best Historical Album: Bob Dylan for ‘The Cutting Edge 1965-1966: The Bootleg Series, Vol. 12 (Collector’s Edition)


The 59th annual Grammys took place last night (Sunday 12th February 2017) at Staples Centre in Los Angeles. See all winners here.

Adele opened the show with a stunning performance of her hit ‘Hello’ and also performed a sombre version of ‘Fastlove’ in an emotional tribute to George Michael. Watch it here.

Adele won 5 out of the 5  Grammys she was nominated for, taking her Grammys total to 15! Watch her acceptance speech for the Best Album Award, presented to her by Faith Hill and Tim McGraw.



Julie Byrne announces spring UK tour 2017

American wanderer Julie Byrne announces a seven date ‘Not Even Happiness’ UK tour in May 2017.

The tour starts on May 21st in Bristol and will call in at London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Todmorden and Glasgow through until the 28th. Tickets are on sale now; all dates and info here.

Byrne’s critically acclaimed second album Not Even Happiness was released last month (13 January 2017) via Basin Rock. The album vividly archives what would have otherwise been lost to the road – bustling roadside diners, the stars over the high desert, the aching weariness of change, the wildflowers of the California coast, as well as the irresolvable mysteries of love.



Plastic Mermaids announce spring UK tour 2017

Isle of Wight band Plastic Mermaids announce a headline UK tour in April and May 2017.

The spring tour calls in at Cardiff, Bristol, Newcastle, Hebden Bridge, Leeds, Salford, Glasgow and London, and includes two festival performances: Live At Leeds and Sounds From Another City. Tickets for the headline shows are on sale Friday Feb 10th at 10am; festival tickets are already on sale.

The quintet are also confirmed to play Bluedot Festival on 8th July, and Standon Calling 29th July. All dates and info here.



Bob Dylan announces additional UK tour dates 2017

Bob Dylan and his Band announce three intimate shows at the prestigious London Palladium on 28th, 29th and 30th April 2017, these are the final dates to be added onto his UK spring tour.

The London Palladium Shows go on sale at 10.00am GMT Friday 10th February 2017. All dates including European shows and tickets here.


Tickets are already sold out in Cardiff, Bournemouth and Glasgow, last few tickets remain for Wembley, Liverpool and Nottingham.

Ahead of the tour dates, Dylan will release a new studio album, Triplicate, on March 31st. Read more here.

Kasabian and Biffy Clyro to headline new Scottish festival

ITB’s Kasabian and Biffy Clyro will headline the first ever TRNSMT festival in Glasgow, Scotland, along with Radiohead.

The new city based festival – billed as a “truly metropolitan non-camping festival” – takes place on Glasgow Green from Friday 7 July to Sunday 9 July, with Kasabian headlining the Saturday and Biffy Clyro headlining the Sunday.
