Daniel Lanois announces European and UK tour 2017

Producer, composer and solo artist Daniel Lanois has announced a headline tour of Europe and the UK in August and September 2017.

The Canadian kicks off his tour in Sweden on August 8th and visits Denmark, Germany, Austria, Belgium and Finland. Lanois will play one UK show at London’s Oslo on August 22nd.

Lucy Dickins wins Music Week Award 2017

Many congratulations to senior agent Lucy Dickins and her team, winner of the Live Music Agent award last night (5 April 2017) at the industry’s Music Week Awards held at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.

Host and BBC 6Music broadcaster Lauren Laverne presented Lucy with her award, which she dedicated to her Dad, ITB managing director Barry Dickins.

ITB at The Great Escape Festival 2017

Brighton’s The Great Escape Festival features ITB artists Blood Red ShoesCheap Meat, Diane BirchH. Hawkline, Jamie Isaac, Jane WeaverJordan Mackampa, Julie Byrne, KlangstofKudu Blue, North Downs, October DriftPixey and Sonia Stein on their 2017 line-up.

The 11th edition of Europe’s leading urban festival for new music take place from the 18th – 20th May, with ITB artists plus over a hundred others artists performing at venues across the city. Find the full line-up here.

Kasabian announce an autumn European tour 2017

Kasabian will tour Europe in October and November 2017.

The tour starts in Germany on October 30th and will visit Italy, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Belgium, finishing on November 11th at Le Zenith in Paris, France. Tickets go on sale between the 4th-7th of November. All dates and more info here.

Download Festival line up 2017

Download, the UK’s foremost rock festival features headliners Biffy Clyro and Aerosmith this June!

Saturday headliners, Scottish trio Biffy Clyro had an incredible 2016. Their seventh album Ellipsis went to Number 1 in the UK, Germany, Ireland and Switzerland; they headlined Reading & Leeds, sold out Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park; they played arena tours in the UK and Europe and won Best British Group at the NME Awards. The band are currently on tour in the States.

Sunday headliners Aerosmith return to Download after a three year absence. Considered America’s greatest Rock ‘N’ Roll band, they return across the Atlantic with one of the greatest rock shows ever seen and will undoubtedly be the ultimate must-see event of 2017. Download is part of their “Aero-Vederci Baby” farewell tour and will be Aerosmith’s final ever UK show!

Other ITB artists featured across the weekend include (in alphabetical order): Baroness, Five Finger Death Punch, Kvelertak, Max & Iggor Cavalera Return To Roots, Nothing More, Prophets of Rage, The LaFontaines and Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown.

Green Man festival line up 2017

Green Man Festival features D.D Dumbo, Gill Landry,  Johnny Flynn & The Sussex Wit and Julie Byrne on their 15th anniversary line-up.

Evan Dando announces UK and EU dates 2017

The Lemonheads‘ frontman Evan Dando has announced solo dates in May 2017 to celebrate the deluxe reissue of his album Baby I’m Bored on Fire Records this June.

The tour kicks off  at London’s Scala on 16th of May, calling in at Wolverhampton, Glasgow, Manchester, Cologne and Berlin.

Prophets of Rage announce debut headline London show

Prophets Of Rage, formed by Tom Morello, Brad Wilk, and Tim Commerford of Rage Against the Machine, Chuck D and DJ Lord of Public Enemy and B Real of Cypress Hill, are set to headline London’s O2 Academy Brixton on Tuesday 13th June 2017, just days after their appearance on the main stage of this year’s Download Festival.

Prophets Of Rage are a revolutionary force to be reckoned with. Armed with some of the most vital songs of the past thirty-five years amongst their respective careers, this show is certain to make Brixton rage again.

H. Hawkline announces new album and June 2017 tour

H. Hawkline, aka Huw Evans, releases new album I Romanticize on Heavenly Recordings on 2 June.

In May he’ll appear at Brighton’s The Great Escape festival, followed by June-July European and UK dates as special guest of  Devendra Banhart, plus appearances at summer festivals including Deer Shed, Port Eliot and End of the Road.

For I Romanticise, the follow-up to 2015’s In The Pink Of Condition, Evans journeyed to Los Angeles to work with long-term collaborator Cate le Bon, who’s based there now. She forms part of the band who perform on the new album’s 12 tracks, along with Warpaint‘s Stella Mozgawa and composer Josiah Steinbrick. It’s co-produced by Samur Khouja.

He’s already shared ‘Last Thing On Your Mind’ from the album, but now comes new track ‘My Mine’. Listen to it here.
