Mumford & Sons are this week’s NME cover stars, proclaiming ‘our new sound will freak people out’ in a six page feature.
Recently they’ve played a handful of intimate and short notice, low-key shows in London, Berlin and NYC to showcase some of their new material. This summer they head out on tour playing Euroepean festivals, headline shows, plus Gentlemen of the Road Stopover dates, culminating in their first headline set at Reading and Leeds Festivals, August Bank Holiday weekend.
“I cannot wait for it, I went every year as a kid. This is a dream come true. Even if we get bottled off, at least I can say I’ve headlined Reading and Leeds – even if we only last 10 minutes,” said guitarist Winston Marshall.
