Låpsley wins SXSW award 2016

Many congratulations to Låpsley for winning SXSW‘s Developing Non-US Act award (aka the Grulke Prize).

The Developing Act Prize is awarded to “artists who are breaking new ground with their creativity and show the most promise in achieving their career goals” as part of the South by Southwest annual music festival held in Austin, Texas every March. The two other Grulke Prize 2016 winners are Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals and Iggy Pop.

The Southport-born singer-songwriter is currently on tour in Europe and the UK. All dates including a sold-out London, Heaven show here. A few tickets remain for her London O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire show in October. Låpsley will also be appearing at summer festivals including Werchter and Latitude.

Holly ‘Låpsley’ Fletcher’s critically acclaimed debut album ‘Long Way Home’ was released on March 4th, 2016 on XL Recordings.
