Courteeners announce new album, ‘Mapping The Rendezvous’

Courteeners have announced a new album entitled Mapping The Rendezvous, which will be released on 28th October 2016, their first for Ignition Records.

The Middleton outfit have given fans a taste of their fifth studio release with the single ‘The 17th’, out now. Watch the karaoke version here.

The album follows the spectacular success of 2014’s top 3 album Concrete Love and the subsequent tour that saw the band sell out venues across the country culminating in a sold-out headline show at Manchester’s Heaton Park in summer 2015.

Speaking of the new album, frontman Liam Fray said: “Last year was f*cking unreal, the biggest and best we’ve ever had. Now we’re back again to show that you don’t have to be perfect to be loved. We’ve finally finished our best (and dare I even suggest, sexiest) set of songs ever so prepare to be (at least mildly) impressed.”

Following a special guest slot supporting The Stone Roses at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium in June, and a triumphant appearance at Scotland’s T in the Park festival last month, the band the will round off the summer of 2016 with main stage sets at Reading and Leeds Festival this Bank Holiday Weekend.
