Black Sabbath win Silver Clef Award 2014

Nordoff Robbins announce Black Sabbath as the winners of the 2014 O2 Silver Clef ‘Ambassadors of Rock’ award.

Past award recipients have included The Clash, U2, the Rolling Stones and The Who. The music therapy charity is dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children and adults across the UK. The Silver Clef awards have raised over £9 million for Nordoff Robbins since its inception in 1976. 

Ozzy Osbourne said on winning the award: “Winning the Ambassadors of Rock award from Nordoff Robbins is a huge honour. Music  is our life,  and we couldn’t live without it.  The world can’t survive without music and this is a very special charity that brings music to everyone.

The award will be presented to the band at the lunchtime ceremony at the Park Lane Hilton, London on the 04th of July.

Black Sabbath are currently on tour in Europe and play the BST Festival in London’s Hyde Park on 4th July. All their tour dates here.
