ITB’s co-director Barry Dickins, will be awarded the Primavera Award 2015, a prize given by Primavera Sound Festival in recognition of the professional career and the contribution of one of the key figures in the live music industry in the last fifty years.
The prize will be awarded within the framework of PrimaveraPro 2015, the meeting for professionals in the industry taking place parallel to the festival, at the end of May in Barcelona, Spain.
Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Tom Petty, Billy Idol and ZZ Top are only a few of the names whose history is closely linked to Barry Dickins and ITB. The agency is also at the forefront of contemporary music with icons like Adele, Pearl Jam and Mumford & Sons who have been with ITB since the beginning of their careers, and names such as James Blake, Ibeyi, Jagwar Ma and Lâpsley that predict a brilliant future for ITB.
Neil Young’s concert at the 2009 edition of Primavera Sound will go down in the history of the festival as the fulfillment of the organization’s dream and as a turning point in the evolution of the Barcelona event.
