Holly Fletcher, aka Låpsley, won the first ever PRS For Music Foundation New Artist Award at the Music Week Women In Music Awards 2016. Låpsley sent an acceptance speech via a recorded video message from the States where she’s on tour.

Tom Petty named MusiCares Person of the Year 2017

As announced in September, American rocker Tom Petty will be honoured as the 2017 MusiCares Person of the Year next February.

The award is in recognition of his significant creative accomplishments, his career-long interest in defending artists’ rights, and the charitable work he has undertaken, which has notably focused on the homeless population in Los Angeles.

The eighteen-time nominated and three-time Grammy Award winner is widely recognised by a younger generation of musicians as an example of what an engaged artist can accomplish in his field and beyond.
