The Global Success gong was presented to her by British astronaut Tim Peake via video link from the International Space Station, calling her a ‘true global icon’. During her acceptance speech she quipped: ‘Not bad for a girl from Tottenham who don’t like flying, winning Global Success!’
LA rhythm & blues band Vintage Trouble announce UK headline tour in June. The run of shows start at London’s O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on 22nd June and will feature ITB’s Slydigs as special guest support.

Brit and Ivor Novello award-winning and Grammy nominated artist Richard Ashcroft has announced details for his fourth solo album These People.
These People was produced by longtime collaborator Chris Potter, as well as marking a reunion with Wil Malone, who worked with Richard on the string arrangements on the seminal albums by The Verve A Northern Soul (1995), Urban Hymns (1997), and his platinum-selling and critically acclaimed debut solo album Alone with Everybody (2000).
Eric Clapton, guitarist with John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers in the 1960s, was inducted in 2014, while the bluesmen who inspired Mayall, including Sonny Boy Williamson, J. B. Lenoir, Otis Rush and Freddie Kin were among the first inductees.
Mayall boasts a career that has spanned more than half a century and has served as a pioneer of blues music, earning him the title ‘The Godfather of British Blues’. He released his latest studio album ‘Find A Way To Care’ in September of last year, tying in with a 55-date tour of the UK and Europe.
Selected by a group of blues scholars and industry veterans as the ‘Best in the Blues’, Mayall joins four other musicians as one of this year’s honourees.
The induction ceremony will be held on May 4th, at the Sheraton Memphis Downtown in Memphis, Tennessee.

Last year an estimated 160 million people worldwide tuned it to watch the American Football game, and set a new record for the most-watched event in US television.
