Barry Dickins awarded Primavera Award 2015

ITB’s co-director Barry Dickins, will be awarded the Primavera Award 2015, a prize given by Primavera Sound Festival in recognition of the professional career and the contribution of one of the key figures in the live music industry in the last fifty years.

The prize will be awarded within the framework of PrimaveraPro 2015, the meeting for professionals in the industry taking place parallel to the festival, at the end of May in  Barcelona, Spain.



ITB senior agent Steve Zapp nominated for Music Week Award 2015

Many congratulations to our senior agent Steve Zapp, who is one of five nominees in the Live Music Agent category at the Music Week Magazine Awards 2015.

Steve has been an agent at ITB since 2002 and currently represents a roster of diverse artists including Biffy Clyro, Editors, Courteeners, Twin Atlantic, The Devil Makes Three, Kagoule, Little Comets, Rival Sons, Rumer, Killer Be Killed, SoulflyThe Temperance Movement, The Xcerts,  Blood Red Shoes and Balthazar.

Kasabian and Jamie T win NME Awards 2015

The NME Magazine Awards 2015 took place last night at London’s o2 Brixton Academy, with ITB artists picking up three awards apiece.

Kasabian were awarded:

  • Best British Band
  • Best Album for ’48:13′
  • Best Quote: “Five records, 10 years, we’ve earned our shot” – lead guitarist Sergio Pizzorno on the band’s headline slot at Glastonbury Festival last year

Jamie T was awarded:

  • Best Song for ‘Zombie’
  • Best Video for ‘Zombie’
  • Music Moment of the Year for his comeback after five years

Placebo to mark 20th anniversary with limited-edition vinyl and stream entire back catalogue

Placebo are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album by making their entire back catalogue available to stream worldwide and releasing remastered vinyl of their milestone albums.

The band released their self-titled debut album in 1996. Six more albums followed, the most recent of which was Loud Like Love in 2013.

ITB scores a Number 1 and a top 20 album

Congrats to our artists whose new albums entered the top 20 Official UK Album Charts this week:

  • Bob Dylan’s “Shadows in the Night” is a new entry at No. 1 – his album of songs associated with Frank Sinatra is his eighth album to reach number one in the UK
  • Indiana‘s debut album ‘No Romeo’ is a new entry at No. 17 – catch her on tour in May.




Tourist and Pearl Jam win Grammy Awards

Many congratulations to our artists who won awards at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards last night in Los Angeles.

* SONG OF THE YEAR: William Phillips (Tourist) co-write on Sam Smith’s ‘Stay With Me’.

* BEST RECORDING PACKAGE: Pearl Jam for ‘Lightning Bolt’.
